남산웨어하우스는 의류, 잡화 등 다양한 상품들을 판매하는 곳이다. 코로나 시기로 잠시 멈춰 있던 명동 내 골목 사이에 자리를 잡았다. 하나의 스타일로 정해지지 않은 다양한 디자인의 의류, 잡화가 진열되기에 집기 구성은 단조롭게 했다. 공간 전체를 가로지르고 있는 벽면 행거는 공간의 깊이를 잡아준다. 또 벽면을 타고 길게 뻗은 스피커는 입구의 열린 천장을 더 극적으로 느끼게 한다.
잡화 진열 방식으로는 커튼에 자주 사용되는 레일부속과 S고리를 연결지었다. S고리의 연속됨을 따라 가방, 모자들이 진열되고 제품의 크기에 맞춰 위치가 옮겨진다. 중앙의 진열은 조금씩 다른 벽돌 쌓기와 유리로 마감됐다. 남산의 꽃들은 이 곳에서 색을 드러내고 있다.
피팅룸은 공간 내부 실용적인 부분으로 인해 이동식 가구로 디자인되었다. 센서로 사람의 움직임이 감지되면 외부 조명에 빛이 들어오며 사용중임을 알려준다.
남산웨어하우스는 다양한 날 것의 재료와 표현들로 공간이 만들어졌다. 시간의 흐름과 함께 재료들도 시간을 머금으며 오랫동안 사람들의 발길이 이어지는 장소가 되기를 바란다
NAMSAN WEARHOUSE sells a variety of products, including clothing and miscellaneous goods. It was located in an alley in Myeong-dong, which had been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because clothing and miscellaneous goods were displayed in a variety of designs that were not defined by one style, the furniture composition was kept monotonous. The wall hanger that runs across the entire space gives the space depth. Additionally, the speakers extending along the wall make the open ceiling of the entrance feel more dramatic.
As a way to display miscellaneous goods, rail parts often used in curtains are connected to S rings. Bags and hats are displayed along the continuation of the S ring and their positions are moved according to the size of the product. The central display is finished with slightly different brickwork and glass. The flowers of Namsan are showing their colors here.
The fitting room was designed with movable furniture due to the practicality of the space. When a person's movement is detected by the sensor, the external light turns on to indicate that it is in use.
NAMSAN WEARHOUSE is a space created with a variety of raw materials and expressions. I hope that with the passage of time, the materials will also retain time and become a place where people will continue to visit for a long time.
